First AR! Bravehart :)

This lovely boy arrived today, and I was so excited I had to share! I was torn between the black and bay, but thought the shading on the bay was prettier than the flat black. I was not dissappointed! For "painted overseas," he has lovely coloring. The only possible complaint I have is that the eyes are a little weird. They're round with big eyewhites, not normal horse shaped. But for $25, he's stunning!



I did a quick search for other topics about the model, and saw some debate as to whether he's an AR or an OF resin. I'm calling him my first AR, but if this is in the wrong section, mods please correct my error.

I think he was an artist resin, but is now "mass produced." Mine has a Made in China sticker on his belly, and there are certainly a lot available. I don't currently show so it's not a big deal to me, but I had seen some argument on the point. I just love my pretty new horse!

For a mass produced Chinese resin the color is very nice. You could always reapint the eyes to be more realistic, although I think that may make him a CM...? Wouldn't matter though unless you plan to show him.

These guys are some of the most underrated resins in the hobby. I have a Walter resin and I think he is just super. He is lightweight and made out of a good quality resin too.

I was amazed when I saw the sale price--$25 doesn't buy plastic ponies these days, let alone resins. I bought him and figured he'd be a body if nothing else. The paint job is much better than the photos show--they were taken indoors at night. I agree that they're underrated if people aren't snapping them up. I'm still tempted to get one to be repainted...
