By chance, on April 6th, 2010 in Tips of the Trade | Do you hate fussing with image editing software to re-size and crop photos to when entering a photo show? ImageSizer is a nice light program that will quickly re-size, rotate, and crop your images. Best of all it is free and like the Klok software we highlighted in our Keeping Track of Time post ImageSizer also runs on the Adobe Air Platform.
The first thing you need to do is open up the images that you would like to re-size. Next to the thumbnail of each image is controls for rotating and cropping the image. ImageSizer even allows you to edit the name of your re-sized file which is perfect if the photo show you are entering has specific requirements for the file names of your images. As you can see from the screen shot that each step is clearly marked in the software. In step two you can set the maximum width and height that your images will be re sized to. There are areas for future settings to rename files in bulk and to add watermarks to your images as well.
