In the past we have had several articles on how to construct your own DIY photo cube as one method to improve your model horse photography. Photo cubes are great but you may find that they restrict the your options during the photo session or might not be big enough for the set up that you are trying to shoot.
Below is a video may give you a few ideas for creating your own set up using some cheap fluorescent light, car window shade, and Velcro. While the entire set up as a whole maybe over kill for shooting models there are definitly bits and pieces that you can incorporate into your own set up.
If you use a combination of fluorescent and incandescent lighting be sure to use an incandescent like GE’s Reveal series that has a blue hue to it that more closely matches that of the fluorescent lights.
